About this Exhibition
The Community Story Tree was created by A Window Between Worlds to raise awareness about an issue that has a profound and painful impact on our community. AWBW’s Community Story Tree remains as an ongoing exhibit to provide a safe way for viewers to reflect on and share their own experiences with domestic violence while learning that they are not alone and that there is the possibility for a violence-free future.
Many collaborating agencies across the country have created their own community story trees to raise awareness about domestic violence and their specific program. These trees have been displayed in public buildings, shelters and outreach programs.
