As founder of AWBW it's been my honor, for 27 years, to witness facilitators, volunteers and supporters planting art as a seed of transformation and healing. Through art, we can express ourselves in ways we may not have thought possible. This is especially important for those affected by violence and trauma working to reclaim our lives. By supporting this campaign, you are supporting this transformation for thousands of AWBW participants throughout Southern California and across the country.

My dream is to be joined by a circle of friends who support AWBW in whatever way works for them, knowing that each day, they are creating the change in the lives of so many. The impact of even a single art session can be profound, opening a gentle path to say what cannot be spoken, a path to begin to repair ruptures caused by violence and trauma. About A Window Between Worlds
A Window Between Worlds views art as a catalyst to release trauma, build resilience and ignite social change.  When individuals create art in a safe community they can be heard and respected — replacing violence and shame with safety and hope.  In order to provide workshops that are accessible, impactful and relevant to all participants, AWBW has cultivated a community of practice by partnering with human service agencies across the country. Just $25 sponsors a survivor's participation in one art workshop and $500 provides art supplies at a weekly program for an entire year.
