A Window Between Worlds’ transformative healing arts program is a valuable resource for advocates, clinicians, social workers, teachers, therapists, and others working within their communities with those who’ve experienced trauma. An alternative to art therapy, our program is easily and effectively integrated into your existing services, building your capacity to better support the people you serve.
Incorporating 30 years of best practices in trauma informed arts programming developed in collaboration with a network of program partners, our trainings include:
- Immersive, interactive hands-on participation in art workshops from our curriculum of 600+ activities
- Topics — including trauma informed care, intersectionality, active listening, holding space, and self-regulation — presented and discussed within the context of creative expression
- Focus on building safety and meeting clients/participants where they are through culturally responsive facilitation
Attending a Windows Facilitator Training is required in order to offer Windows art workshops and receive the ongoing support and benefits of our Community of Practice. All of our trainings are for facilitating art workshops with children, youth, and adults so attendees are empowered to use our curriculum with participants of all ages, including co-workers and community members.
* When registering you can apply for a 30th Anniversary Social Justice Fellowship, which grants full training scholarships to individuals looking to/currently using art to support the advancement of social justice, racial equity, economic justice, human rights, and social and systems change. Limited spots available.
