Populations We Reach

A survey of our Windows Leaders in 2014 revealed that 35% are working with clients who have been impacted by multiple types of violence and trauma in addition to domestic violence. In response, AWBW has been working to expand our programming to better address the unique needs of sexual assault survivors, returning combat veterans, gang-impacted and incarcerated youth, the homeless, the LGBT community, and others while also deepening our work with domestic violence survivors. Our network of trained Windows Leaders continue to share their innovations with us on how they are adapting our core Adult and Children’s programs with expanded populations. This is a sampling of the impact being made.
