Monthly Giving Spotlight: Roya Adjory
As part of our 25th Anniversary, AWBW is thrilled to be officially launching our Monthly Giving Program. Our goal is to end this year with 100 members strong. We are grateful to our founding members of this program, including Roya, who shares more about why she chooses to give monthly. Roya shares,
I am a painter and have had first-hand experience of healing through my art. When I found out there was an organization that uses art as a tool to deal with all kinds of trauma, I was moved. Hearing the stories of the participants who go through the program and are able to get their lives on a positive track as a result is very inspiring. I am also inspired by the people involved in the organization and their dedication to making sure their programs reach as many people as possible.
I decided to become a monthly contributor after attending an Advocate Huddle in 2015. I wanted to show my support to a great organization that I know makes a huge difference in the lives of many. If my small donations could be put to use in a big way, then that’s a win-win situation.
If you believe in the power of art to transform trauma, then you are the one you have been waiting for. It is up to each of us to make sure organizations such as AWBW continue to exist in the hope of creating the world that works for everyone.
Roya Adjory is an accomplished artist who first connected to AWBW in 2012 when she contributed an art piece for our auction at our first ever ArtWorks for Healing. Thank you Roya for giving from your heart and helping build a sustainable future for A Window Between Worlds!
