Pearls of Wisdom: End the Violence on display at the Korean Cultural Center
About this Exhibition
From March 2-31, 2011, The Los Angeles Korean Cultural Center hosted an exhibit for Pearls of Wisdom: End the Violence.
This month long exhibition included an opening reception, school and community tours and a special walk-through with Abeles sponsored by the Southern California Women’s Caucus for Art. The opening date was chosen to honor the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day.
A “Public Conversation on Ending Violence Through Art” featured Abeles, Suzanne Iskin, Suzanne Lacy, Cathy Salser, Nathalie Sanchez and Barbara T. Smith speaking with project chair, Sandra Mueller.
