Great news! Your support this holiday season will go twice as far thanks to a generous donor who will match all new and increased year-end donations.

Even our youngest supporters are taking advantage of this amazing opportunity. Megan Yee, the seven-year-old second grade daughter of one of AWBW's board members, has generously and happily donated her weekly allowance to AWBW!

Megan loves going to school.  Every week she receives a modest allowance of $1.75 (that's $.25 per years of age).  Recently, she decided she wanted to donate most of her week's allowance, $1.10, to A Window Between Worlds.  Her mom had not expected Megan to make this kind of action, "But then again, kids are very observant.  They watch others around them helping those in need.  These experiences help shape their young minds.  Megan expressed that other kids would be happy doing art with AWBW.  She talked about what the kids would feel about doing the art.  'It would help them so much!' she expressed to me.  When I told her since she was considered a 'new' supporter of AWBW and that another special donor would match her donation, she was pleasantly surprised her $1.10 would mean $2.20 - double what she is giving.  Her smile grew bigger.  Immediately she decided that all of her allowance through the end of the year would be contributed to A Window Between Worlds.  Simply put, $20 is going to help those families experiencing the healing art programs at AWBW.  The amount may be modest but what is extraordinary is the fact that someone so young can not only understand the impact of her contribution, but feels so good doing so."

Truly, in these times of need, no contribution is too small. As we work towards meeting the needs of struggling domestic violence shelters, we ask you open your heart and do what you can to help us support our programs and ensure the healing happens.
