“This year the women and children in the shelter made a huge Valentine for us to bring to the state legislators at the state capitol. We did the Windows workshop called Healing Hearts, making 3 hearts each - one for the past, present and future. The stories were moving and extremely revealing. Each heart told detailed stories of where they had been emotionally and physically and where they were going, and it was very powerful and meaningful to them. It showed us how the workshops give a voice that can be shared and impact others. We were all so proud to have it and to exhibit the stories behind each of the hearts."
