“As I reflect on the many blessings that have arrived in my life this year, the experience at AWBW tops the list!
Since the AWBW training, we have been loving our Windows groups and all the creativity and vision that comes through the art! During one Windows group this holiday season, we made a Christmas tree representing the hope and healing of the survivors in the shelter.
We called it the Tree of Empowerment / Hands of Hope. The survivors made cut-outs of their hands with messages of hope on the front and journal entries on the back. It was an awesome experience for everybody.
Maybe our world leaders could benefit from cutting, pasting, and painting their way to make kinder decisions.”
