Windows Into Our Future I

Through art exhibitions, A Window Between Worlds provides an opportunity for domestic violence programs nationwide to share important issues with a wide public audience in a particularly powerful way.

The windows offer a creative exploration into a violence-free future. The women's words accompany the windows, expressing the love, fear, outrage, and hope surrounding the domestic violence issue. This is an ongoing exhibit and may be displayed with an optional art table inviting the audience not only to explore their feelings, but also to create and submit an expression of their commitment.

As the centerpiece of annual fundraisers and anniversary celebrations, sale of the portraits has benefited both the hosting program and A Window Between Worlds, as the proceeds from the portraits are shared with the hosting program.

The windows vary in size from 4"x4" to 6"x6." There are 100 in all, however you can determine the amount of windows you wish to exhibit depending on the space available to you.

A deposit of $500 will hold your requested dates (if available). Upon receipt of your deposit, final arrangements will be made and a visit checklist will be mailed to you. The checklist is to help you and AWBW prepare for a smooth exhibit.
