Voices of Battered Women

Created in 1994 by survivors in response to the revelation that OJ Simpson had battered Nicole Brown Simpson, this exhibit has toured the country to inspire others to help end the violence.

Each collage is the woman's own story of how domestic violence has affected her, or how the publicity associated with the Simpson murder trial brought her abuser back into her life, or how it has escalated the ongoing violence.

When we released the call-for-art, we received over 240 collages from 11 states. Here, we share 14 of the images and their accompanying stories.
