Thanks to the generous sharing by guest artists - Trini Nunez and Martha Contreras - BeARTrageous is celebrating Day of the Dead for the third year in row!
We will be making stick puppets, paper flowers and spirit candles to place on our ancestral altars. We'll also enjoy sugar skulls, pan de muerto (bread) and wonderful Mexican hot chocolate -- plus, the amazing array of favorite foods and beverages that participants bring. As similar holidays to honor ancestors are celebrated around the globe, we should have a rich global feast. Sign up below and then send Sandra an email at beARTrageous@awbw.org. You'll want to start soon on gathering momentos and photos. The workshop is open to women and teens in our community. Materials Fee: $20 each or $30 for two. Added donations including art materials for the shelters are appreciated. Jumpstart your inspiration by checking out the wonderful gallery of images from the Hollywood Forever altars & artwork celebrations.
BeARTrageous Workshops are led by AWBW Community Arts Advocate Sandra Mueller and supported by the AWBW Art Squad. All materials provided —no prior experience needed though always welcome — just bring your soulful self. They support the healing work of A Window Between Worlds.
